numericalassassin

unc0nquered asked:

Zer0 wonders if trying to call his own ECHO device will let him reach his doppelganger. Time to find out. «Hello?»

numericalassassin answered:

He stared at the number on his ECHO and frowned. That really shouldn’t be possible, getting a call from his own number. Unless of course it was who he thought it was. «This is the other me, isn’t it?»

numericalassassin:

unc0nquered:

«… Extremely. But still. It could be interesting. Don’t you think so too?»

If his doppelganger says no, he’s probably just going to sit around answering quizzes himself anyway.

«This is so stupid. Likely a bad idea. But why the hell not?»

It wasn’t as though anyone else had to see these things right? Not unless they went out of their way to spread them around.

«My thoughts exactly.» He sent over the quiz list he’d found. «We’ll compare answers and results. You choose the test.» (He felt a little guilty about splitting one word over two lines, but he was too bored to bother with perfect meter right now. His doppelganger didn’t even stick to meter sometimes, Zer0 figured he wouldn’t care.)

«Public questionnaires. Answer the questions; compare. See what is different. Not on private things—personality quizzes that have no substance.»

Zer0 is bored and found a whole list of stupid quizzes on the DataNet.

«You want to what now? Personality quizzes? You are very bored.»

Granted he didn’t actually say no. In fact he’s quite amused by the idea. He’s still pretty sure Other Zer0 is deathly bored to come up with such a thing.

«How should we do that? What did you have in mind?»

«I have a small proposal. For fun and science.»

«Oh really?» Well who else would know what he found fun but himself?

«Do tell.»

That would be a yes.

«Good to know I’m a dick.»

At least he was amusing.

unc0nquered asked:

Lurks in your general direction.

chargedupsiren answered:

Andi throws her hands in the air.  “I talked to the Raiders!  Jeez!”  Her tone is lightly teasing, partially exasperated, and a lot grateful.

"Good." He lurks a bit more closely. "Have a home yet?"

She nods slightly.  “Yeah, got a little flat in town.  They said I could come and go as I please, but I’ve got a safe place while I’m here.”  She smiles at the assassin.  “Thanks, by the way.”

He nodded back; the closest she’d get to you’re welcome. “Met the other Sirens here?”

She shrugged.  “Nah.  Not yet.  Everyone keeps asking though.”  She tugged at her braid.  “I guess I could hunt one down…but ehh.”

Zer0 nodded. “Not important now.” She was in Sanctuary and safe, she could meet the other Sirens any time.

Andi folded her hands behind her head and regarded the assassin quietly.  “So…you disappeared pretty quick after being a pain in my ass.  I hope it was productive.”  She teased again, apparently she’d grown slightly fond of him during his absence.

"Productive… sort of." He’d learned a lot about Hyperion facilities. However, he’d also learned that the things they did at one facility were rarely things they did at another facility, meaning what he learned would likely be of minimal use to him going forward. But still, it was a start. "I can’t share the details, but, I filled my time well."
